In the baccarat game from 4 to 6 fifty-two card packs are used. The pictures cards and the 10 card equal to 0 points. The Ace equals to 1 point. The rest of the cards are calculated according to their nominal points. The smallest amount of points is called “baccarat” and equals to 0. When the total sum of points exceeds 10, ten points are to be subtracted. For example: 5 plus 9 equals to 4, but not to 14.
The best combination in the game is the set of nine points. When the total sum of nine points is achieved in two cards, it is called a “natural” set, such a combination cannot fail. Eight points set up by two cads are also called “natural”, but they will lose if a nine set appears. Similar combinations will mean a draw. If the total amount of two cards equals to 6, 7, 8 or 9 points, no third card can be drawn.
Before the game each player makes a bet on his box, it being either a Banco or a Ponte. Also a Drawn outcome can be bet upon, which will be awarded in the proportion 8 to 1. The croupier deals by turns two cards each for the Banco and the Ponte. The Banco cards are given to the player who had made the biggest bet for the bank, the Ponte cards are given to the one who had made the biggest bet for the Ponte. The Ponte will be the first to check his cards and to make the decision about the third card. After the Ponte has made the decision (Card or Deal), the Banco shows his cards. Now the Ponte can take another card. Then is the turn of the Banco to decide. As soon as the decision is made, the both parties show their cards. If one of the players has he total amount of points equal to 8 or 9, he must inform the other player, so that he will not have the right to draw the third card. The winner is the player who has the amount of points closest to 9. the Bets are paid in the proportion 1 to 1, moreover, the casino withdraws 5% from the Banco.
